Turkey Day--California style!

This year we packed up the Civic and drove to California to spend Thanksgiving with my older sis, Chantel, and her family. It was such a fun visit! It was fun to be able to spend the holiday with them, although we really missed our family back at home, and those of Greg's family who traveled to Oregon. Chantel whipped up the whole feast pretty much on her own (pie and all!). I made mom's candied yams and stuffing. Carl made the turkey--out on the grill! It all turned out really good and we stuffed ourselves as much as we would stuff.

Greg and Dax watching football (the only part of Thanksgiving I don't really care for. It goes ALL DAY LONG it seems like! I'd rather watch the parades or a Christmas movie...)

Dax was real happy the first part of the day...

Carl cutting up the turkey he just finished grilling up.

The feast! Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, rolls, cranberry sauce, raspberry pretzel salad, deviled eggs, green salad, candied yams and for dessert: cherry pie, pumpkin pie, and barbershop delight. Phew! That's a lot of cookin, Chantel! Way to go, it all turned out Awesome!

The cousins Crew, Jax, and Dax (not so happy this part of the day).

Thanks for having us over Chantel and Carl! We had so much fun and hopefully next time we get together we'll ALL feel well. We need to play more games next time too ;)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

That seriously was SO FUN having you all here. Next time we need less sickness, more games and lots of crafting!

Looks like you guys had so much fun! It was definitely not the same without you there. I can't wait until Thanksgiving 2010 when hopefully we will all be together! Wow that's far away.
